Support from first conversation to successful delivery

Connect the Classroom projects bring funding, technical standards and practical decisions together.

  • Eligibility and funding guidance

We help you understand the next steps after your school has been contacted about the programme, clarifying requirements without implying eligibility or funding until the Department for Education has confirmed it.

  • Infrastructure review and assessment

Our experts assess your current network, wireless coverage, capacity and future requirements to identify the improvements that give the best result.

  • Network and wireless design

We develop a secure, centrally managed design that matches DfE standards, your school environment and your digital strategy.

  • Planning and proposal development

Clear recommendations bring scope, equipment and delivery requirements into one practical proposal, helping you understand the plan and make confident decisions.

  • Procurement and project management

We coordinate hardware, specialist resources and project activity, reducing the workload on school teams.

  • Installation, implementation and testing

Our team will manage onsite delivery and testing to confirm that the new infrastructure performs as planned.

  • Ongoing education IT support

We can continue supporting your network and connect it with wider managed IT, cloud, cyber security and digital development priorities.

Reliable Wi-Fi and stronger infrastructure.

Digital learning depends on connectivity that works across the school day.

More reliable coverage

Improve wireless performance across the areas included in your project, reducing dead spots and helping staff and pupils connect when they need to.

Less disruption

Solutions that reduce avoidable connectivity interruptions and support consistent access to digital resources, devices and cloud platforms.

A clearer route through the project

Practical guidance, structured planning and active project management from an education technology partner that understands schools and DfE requirements.

Infrastructure for growth

Plan for changing device numbers, cloud adoption and future digital priorities, rather than solving only today's most visible network problem.

A joined-up approach to assessment, design and delivery

We begin with a conversation about your school’s eligibility status, current connectivity and future requirements. Then we review existing infrastructure and wireless coverage, identifying where improvement is needed and how the project can support your wider plans. Recommendations are developed into a clear proposal aligned with relevant DfE standards and the needs of your environment. Once agreed, we coordinate procurement, project management, installation and testing, keeping your team informed throughout. The result is a secure, centrally managed connectivity foundation to support teaching, learning and school operations. We can also deliver ongoing network and education IT support.

Support designed around your organisation

Turn programme guidance into a practical project

Once the Department for Education has confirmed your school’s eligibility, we help you understand the journey ahead. Our team reviews your current environment, translates technical requirements into a clear plan and manages delivery through to installation and testing. You gain a dependable education technology partner and a network designed around the way your school teaches, works and plans for the future—without placing the full project burden on your own staff.

FAQs

How do I know whether our school is eligible for Connect the Classroom?

Eligibility is determined and communicated by the Department for Education. If your school has been contacted, we can help you understand the next steps and translate the programme requirements into a practical assessment and project plan. We will not assume or guarantee eligibility before it has been formally confirmed.

What support can TLG TurnITon provide?

We can support the full journey: initial guidance, infrastructure and coverage assessment, network and wireless design, proposal development, procurement coordination, project management, installation, testing and ongoing support. The exact scope is shaped around your school and the approved project.

Will the solution meet Department for Education standards?

Our recommendations are developed with relevant DfE connectivity standards in view, alongside the practical needs of your buildings, users and wider digital strategy. The final design and scope will be clearly documented as part of the proposal.

Can you help if our school is not eligible for programme funding?

Yes. We also support schools and trusts with wider network and wireless infrastructure reviews and improvement projects. We can assess your current environment, identify priorities and shape a suitable route forward outside the funded programme.

Do you provide broadband, filtering and monitoring too?

These sit within our separate Connectivity & Safeguarding service. We can connect the two areas where appropriate, helping ensure that your network infrastructure, internet connectivity and safeguarding controls work together as part of a joined-up technology environment.
